Listen Up! — DJ Blueprint Delivers the Goods

Funk Deli’s making friends out in there cyberspace land, and this is good news for all you funk-lovers. You see, we’re a bunch of funk evangelists over here at Funk Deli, and our goal is to spread the good word as much as we can.

The Internet is a media jungle. Some of this available online media stuff is crap, but some of it’s cash money funky. At Funk Deli, we chop through the knotted thicket of sites and blogs with our bedside machete. Our goal is simple — we uncover the funkiest stuff out there and deliver it to you, our loyal readers. The reason for this? We know you need more funk in your lives, and we want to share our funky discoveries with you.

Our new homey Mike (aka DJ Blueprint), hit us up and told us to take a look at his blog This Is Tomorrow. So we did. And it’s sick.

Mike has put together a formidable funk force loaded with guest mixes and mash ups from Mr. DJ Blueprint himself. When you visit his blog, you’ll have a hard time figuring out which mix you want to download first. We certainly found it challenging.

Anyway, Funk Deli decided to preview DJ Blueprint’s Listen Up! mix. We liked what we heard. Listen Up! was a guest mix that DJ Blueprint put together for Nachopancho.net. The mix is all over the place, but in a good way. You’ll be treated to soulful jams, funky breaks, hip hop cuts and a sweet jazzy outro.

This mix is certainly a journey.
