Here’s another classic track from one disco’s greatest producers. Cerrone was a Euro disco producer from Paris who began making beats at a young age. He developed a spacey disco sound that evolved over the years. Cerrone’s discography is loaded with amazing tracks that will be familiar to many house music heads. Bob Sinclair, Studio Nova and other DJs and house music producers have liberated bass lines and funky hooks from Cerrone. Remixes of his disco tracks still shake the floors of clubs around the world.
“Give Me Love” is a perfect example of the electro-filled funkified disco sound that Cerrone developed in the 70s and carried in to the early 80s. We hope to feature more music from this talented and influential producer in the upcoming weeks, but for now, enjoy Cerrone jamming on the drums in this sick video from back in the day.
