During the NBA All Star game in New Orleans on Sunday, Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash was talking trash about his Nike Trash Talk shoes. These funky shoes are the first pair of performance sneakers that Nike has manufactured using nothing but recycled waste. They’re stylish, game-ready and eco-friendly. Now when you lace up to hit the courts, you can do you part to save the planet.
The Nike Trash Talk shoes were modeled after Nash’s existing shoe — the Nike Zoom BB II Low. Nash is excited about the opportunity to get the word out about his new environmentally friendly b-ball kicks.
“Any opportunity to promote the environment and preserve our planet is a step in the right direction,” Nash said in a press release. “I’m very excited to be one of the first athletes to wear the Nike Trash Talk. I think people will love the shoe, and hopefully by wearing it I can inspire others to try it out as well.”

It doesn’t get any better than Brass Construction. Randy Muller’s group of OG funksters signed their first record deal in 1975. Their thumping synth-disco classic “Movin’” became a a huge hit in 1976. Their next hit was a track called “Ha Cha Cha (Funktion).” This Soul Train video shows off the infectious, got-to-get-down quality of the Brass Construction sound.
